Although we had produced a brochure promoting holidays to Abu Dhabi and the UAE in previous years, 2011 saw some fundamental changes to the design, content and presentation. Presented under Hala Abu Dhabi, Etihad Holiday's specialist division for inbound tourism, a radical change to the content was required since the brochure was now significantly targetting trade partners. In essence, it needed to become part reference guide, part holiday inspiration, but still be suitable for the end customer. The result was a much more focussed, content rich brochure, designed for easy reference for both trade and consumer, whether on hotel options or things to do. A major new feature added was a range of suggested breaks and holidays in the UAE, from 2 to 7 nights. to provide some holiday inspiration for the customer and showcase the variety of the UAE.
The 2011 Etihad Holidays brochures were produced by Home Abu Dhabi, the 4th consecutive year we have managed this high profile project. Building on the success of previous years, we refined the content and design introducing a number of new features, most notably the new category of "Value Hotels" selected for offering especially good value and a substantially extended tours programme including full holiday itineraries for selected destinations. As in previous years, we produced two different brochures for east and westbound destinations. With new destinations introduced across the past 12 months, the brochures had increased in size to 188 pages and 160 pages respectively. We handle all aspects, from concept development to final artwork for both the English and Arabic language versions including copywriting and translation.
UPP (United Print and Publishing) is the UAE's leading printing and publishing facility, handling everything from large newspaper and magazine production to all aspects of commercial printing. The client was looking to produce a new corporate video and website to promote its services, with a new design 'look and feel' to be used across both. Given the competitive nature of print and publishing, they wanted something radically different to the typical promotional material used in the sector. Our response was to create an animated film that showcased all aspects of their services in what amounted to an animated journey through UPP and its facilities with English and Arabic voiceovers. We then adapted this creative theme to provide a totally new look for the company's website, providing a fresh and vibrant way to access key information.
With the success of the first brochure evident, Cotswolds Finest Hotels again asked Home to create a new brochure for their new selection of member hotels. The brochure used much of the look and feel of the original, but we updated the colours and styling to a sleek black with subtle wallpaper patterning.
Mafraq Hospital is one of Abu Dhabi's largest hospitals and we have produced a range of campaign materials for internal and external audiences since we started working for them in June 2010. Our first project was to launch their customer care programme, Mafraq Ambassadors, under the theme 'We Care', which was communicated via posters and leaflets in the hospital along with specialised training. We have also developed a number of campaigns on specific health issues including a Quit Smoking campaign and a hygiene campaign under the theme, "Clean Hands'. We produced a major advertising campaign for the hospital including a 2 day photoshoot to promote the expertise of the hospitals 300 plus specialists and surgeons and more recently developed an ad to announce the hospital winning the Sheikh Khalifa Gold Excellence Award.
